Effective February 10, 2014 these Districts will be known as the San Andreas District. The reporting location for this position is Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area in Hollister. This position serves as a team member with primary responsibility for park equipment maintenance. Duties include but are not limited to: major repairs to automotive/motorized equipment including major engine overhauls, electrical replacement and repair, and minor body repairs; maintains automotive shop equipment; estimates the cost of automotive repairs; instructs operators in proper operation and servicing of equipment; minor welding and brazing work; keeping simple records and making reports; test-driving, trouble-shooting, and analysis of vehicular failure. Upon successful completion of appropriate training, the operation of four wheel drive vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs is required. The incumbent’s schedule will be Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. State housing is not available.
