Under the direction of the Manager I, greet and communicate tactfully with the public/others. Utilize Driver Safety Automation system and the department's other computer systems. Schedule hearings, reexaminations, and interviews. Solve problems posed by the public, law enforcement, and other government agencies by phone, mail, and in person. Duties include, but are not limited to handling incoming/outgoing mail, filing documents and typing notices, and data entry. Desirable skills include multitasking, verbal/written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and the ability to work in a fast paced team environment with peers/upper management. This position is highly demanding and requires a person with a high degree of integrity that can work independently under pressure and tactfully assist difficult customers.
