Title: BUSINESS TAXES SPECIALIST I, BOARD OF EQUALIZATION Salary: $5,328.00 - $6,670.00 Posted: 12/23/2013
This position is located in Riverside CA. Under the supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator I, the Business Taxes Specialist I conducts monthly reviews of accounts and renders advice to staff. The Business Taxes Specialist I reviews and approves or disapproves handling of assignments, analyzes database reports and referrals from staff for audit leads, and prepares audit referral memos to send to the district office. The incumbent (either individually or as a lead person of a group) will develop, revise, or maintain training course materials for the Department. The incumbent will also prepare replies to issues of tax law and compliance function policies and procedures, and will serve on special project committees. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.

3. This position will often handle multiple duties and be expected to produce results in short timeframes. Please explain your experiences at handling high-pressure situations where short deadlines were involved.
