The reporting location for this position is Sugar Pine Point State Park located in Tahoma. This position works under the direction of the Sierra District Superintendent. The Sector Superintendent has the full responsibility for the overall operations of the sector. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the entire visitor services functions and working with the District Maintenance Chief on the technical services functions. The Sector Superintendent performs administrative, resource management, real property management, interpretation, public protection and law enforcement functions. This position requires interaction with local cities and counties, federal agencies, community groups, land trusts, volunteer groups and associations. The Sector encompasses 17 park units over four different counties. There are three Cooperating Associations. This is a challenging position and is best suited for a highly energetic innovative individual who has a commitment to the Department’s mission to ensure quality public service within budgetary constraints. This position may be downgraded for recruitment purposes. A State Trailer Pad may be available.
