Under the general supervision of the Senior Information Systems Analyst (Supervisor), the incumbent has responsibility for first-level computer technical support for all CDPH employees, which may include both state and contract staff. This includes overall installation, maintenance, and administration of information technology resources in support of a centralized IT environment, working for the Client Services Unit (CSU), Customer Service Section (CSS), within the Data Center Operations Services Branch (DCOSB), for the CDPH. The Assistant ISA serves as a first-level general personal computer technical support specialist supporting all CDPH employees. The incumbent is responsible for prioritizing their work, resolving hardware/software and connectivity issues, and elevating issues to higher level support staff. Assists in the support for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all IT hardware, software, and peripherals. The incumbent must adhere to state information technology standards and policies at both the Department and state level. The Assistant ISA will collaborate with stakeholders, developers, the Information Security Officer (ISO), project managers, and management to support and manage functions associated with the design, development, testing, integration, implementation, production support and maintenance work of new and current systems. Assignments may be complex and include working with diverse technical and non-technical personnel and management at local, state, and federal agencies.
