The Office Technician (Typing) functions as a team member in the Technology Program Support Section (TPSS), providing administrative and clerical support to the Technology Services Department (TSD) at the Board of Equalization (BOE). As a team member in TPSS your duties will include but are not limited to acting as TSD’s liaison for all facility maintenance issues, maintaining various calendars in Microsoft Outlook, performing equipment setup for meetings, assisting TSD’s Space Planning Coordinator to meet spacing needs of new and current employees, sorting and delivering mail, answering a multi-line telephone, greeting customers in person, preparing, and maintaining various databases and documents in Microsoft Excel and Word. You must interact respectfully, professionally, positively and courteously when communicating and working with others, adapt to various situations, follow oral and written instructions, meet stringent deadlines, use good judgment, understand and practice sensitivity to confidentiality, take initiative and be dependable. Excellent attendance is required. The position is located in a high-rise building.
