The reporting location for this position is the District Administrative Office in Folsom. This position will work under the direction of the District Administrative Chief. This position is responsible for all personnel-related functions within the Gold Fields District. This position serves as the District Housing Coordinator and is responsible for providing thorough analysis and regular updates to management regarding the District Housing Plan and department housing policies. The incumbent will maintain reports on District compliance with all department policies as they relate to personnel, housing, employee training and various administrative functions. Provides analysis and makes recommendations for improvements to district processes specific to the functions and responsibilities of this position. This position also maintains complex personnel records; tracks and reconciles all employee leave balances, processes full time payroll (DPR 921s) and reconciles warrant registers (view directs). Prepares and conducts all Seasonal Hiring orientations and tracks all associated costs for salaries and benefits. Monitors the various due dates on Employee Performance Reports as well as the Employee Appraisal and Development Plans and notifies supervisors accordingly. The incumbent will also provide in-house training on subject matter such as timesheet reporting, employee benefits, Departmental policy relative to Sexual Harassment and Workplace Violence, provide updates on collective bargaining agreements and other various functions of Admin. The successful candidate should possess a strong skill set in verbal and written communication along with the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.
