The reporting location for this position is the Sierra District Maintenance Shop located in Tahoma. This position will work under the direction of the District Forester II. This position provides support to the facility maintenance, historic structure stabilization and restoration, trail, fire, natural resource maintenance, and road maintenance programs at seventeen State Parks in the Sierra District. Work will include heavy manual labor, extensive walking to and from work sites, hot summer temperatures, cold winter temperatures, snow covered conditions, and high altitude environments. Remote work locations, camping, and overnight travel are expected. This position requires a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License. Please provide proof of eligibility with application. This position is subject to the Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. This position may work up to 1500 hours per year. State housing is not available.
