The reporting location for this position is Red Rock Canyon State Park located in the Mojave Desert, a high desert environment and is located approximately 25 miles north of the town of Mojave. However, this position will work at other parks in the Sector which include: Antelope Valley Indian Museum State Historic Park, Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve State Natural Reserve, Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park, Saddleback Butte State Park, and Tomo-Kahni State Historic Park. This position is responsible for the daily operation of the maintenance program at Red Rock State Park and overseeing the Park Maintenance Assistant and Seasonal staff. Other duties include housekeeping, facility maintenance, systems, roads and grounds. The incumbent’s work schedule will be Tuesday to Saturday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. State housing is not available.
