The County-Assessed Properties Division carries out the Board of Equalization’s responsibilities to provide advice and guidance to county assessors and property taxpayers; oversee the property tax assessment practices of county assessors; and co-administer the welfare exemption. The Senior Specialist Property Appraiser or Senior Specialist Auditor Appraiser conducts compliance audits through research of property tax issues involving property taxation and prepares written analyses of findings. The position will start in the Exemptions section, but may work through the other division sections on a rotational basis. Travel throughout the State up to 50 percent of the time will be required. The position is located in the Natomas area of Sacramento.
