Under the general supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator III, the Business Taxes Compliance Specialist independently performs the more complex and difficult tax compliance and collection work. Receives functional guidance from the Business Taxes Specialist II or other supervisors. The incumbent, while working autonomously, informs the supervisor of complex and/or sensitive issues on assigned cases and acts as an expert resource to journey level staff with responsibility under the various sales and use tax programs and provides administrative support to management and supervision. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
