Under the direction of the Chief Deputy to the Board Member and Assistant Deputy, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) provides assistance and support on a broad range of analytical, consultative and administrative support services for the Board Member and her management team, and other duties as required. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Coordinates First District staff assignments for the Board meetings including, but not limited to, the distribution of materials from the Board Proceedings Division to staff, the completion of staff summaries, assembling the Board meeting binders for the Board Member, and scheduling staff briefings. Monitors and maintains the Board Member’s case tracking system. Proofreads and edits staff summaries on Board hearing appeals matters. Serves as liaison between the Board Member’s San Francisco office and Sacramento office relating to the Board Member’s meeting schedule to ensure timely preparation of meeting materials for the Board Member.
Assists with the coordination of the Constituent Program to facilitate efficient handling of inquiries, ensures accurate and timely responses, and identifies trends. Researches and identifies common topics of constituent inquiries. Identifies customer service issues and areas of concern on a variety of Board policies and procedures that impact constituents. Using MS Access, tracks constituent inquiries to identify training opportunities, issues, trends, and areas of concern, and make recommendations to the Board Member’s management team.
Tracks interested parties meetings for First District staff. Investigates various program issues for the Board Member and/or supervisor and prepares various administrative reports.
Reviews and analyzes sensitive and urgent correspondence and informs the Board Member, Chief Deputy, and Assistant Deputy.
