Under general direction with little day-to-day supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator I, the incumbent uses highly
independent initiative and judgment in serving as an expert staff resource responsible for the most difficult and complex
technical work, and therefore must understand the complexity of all systems, rules and procedures involved in tax return
processing for various tax programs. The incumbent independently, reviews account files, correspondence, tax returns
and related documents, and determines the appropriate action to be taken. The incumbent applies laws, rules and
regulations as necessary when preparing billings with penalty and interest, and refunding or adjusting accounts. Must
attain a detailed knowledge of several data processing systems including the Automated Compliance Management
System (ACMS) and the Integrated Revenue Information System (IRIS), in order to handle difficult adjustment and billing
assignments. The position is located in a high-rise building. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
