Job Description:

The reporting location for this position is Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Maintenance Shop in Borrego Springs. This position is responsible for the housekeeping and maintenance of facilities within the Sector. The position will perform a wide variety of duties including refuse disposal; servicing of chemical toilets; facility housekeeping; assisting in repair of buildings, structures, systems, grounds, roads, and trails. The Park Maintenance Assistant will learn to order required supplies and the care and use of equipment safely and effectively. May be assigned lead person role for subordinate employees. The incumbent's work schedule will be Wednesday to Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There are two vacant positions available. A State trailer pad or housing may be available.
