The Department of State Hospitals - Vacaville is located within the California Medical Facility (CMF)-Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. DSH-V is a 433 bed inpatient psychiatric facility within a state prison serving incarcerated males.
Provides secretarial support services, including: typing letters, memorandums, reports; arranging meetings and scheduling appointments; taking and transcribing meeting minutes; opening and distributing mail and taking necessary action when receiving written or oral communications; answering telephone calls; duplicating materials; designing/creating documents/forms; assists other staff in office procedures; updates policies and procedures; processes and follows up on purchase orders; operates various office machines, such as computer, copy machine, typewriter, scanner and fax; sets up and maintains appointment calendars of Program staff; maintains administrative and confidential files; organizes and maintains an efficient filing system; updates various manuals; creates and maintains scanned and hard-copy files and documents; and maintains timekeeping documentation for management and program staff.
