Job Description:
All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. The Board of Equalization, Customer Service and Publishing Division is looking for a Business Taxes Representative (BTR) to work in the Customer Service Center. The Customer Service Center responds to over 600,000 calls and 20,000 e-mails per year, providing customers and taxpayers with information on a wide range of tax areas covering sales and use taxes, 30 special tax areas (environmental, hazardous waste, recycling, etc.) and property taxes. The BTR will provide technical advice in writing and verbally to employees and taxpayers concerning the programs administered by the Board of Equalization (BOE). They will assign, review and track the work of Tax Technicians. In addition, they will assist with the development and training of others. This position will also provide analytical reports to Call Center Management and Executive Staff. Interested candidates must meet educational requirements. Training and development assignments may be considered.
