Job Description:
Under administrative direction of a Data Processing Manager III, the Systems Software Specialist III (Spec) serves as the technical expert responsible for the most complex Mid-Tier applications, systems, and infrastructure including electronic tax return filing applications, GIS and mobile device web applications, internet/intranet services, the enterprise content management system, and Mid-Tier’s infrastructure. The SSSIII provides technical leadership and architectural guidance to Mid-Tier staff that maintains and develops new applications in the highly complex mid-tier environment. The SSS III may oversee business plan development to implement enhancements that support the organizational mission and which also provide technical knowledge transfer and training to organizational staff and customers. The SSS III serves in a technical leadership and/or application architect role for projects. They assist Unit/Section management with tactical and strategic planning activities.
