The reporting location for this position is the Oceano Dunes District Office located in Pismo Beach, or as otherwise directed. This position will work under the direction of the Chief of the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division. The State Park Superintendent V serves as the District Superintendent of Oceano Dunes District which includes a multi-faceted and complex off-highway vehicle operation within Oceano Dunes SVRA and more traditional park operations of Pismo State Beach, including the Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve and the Pismo Lake property. The incumbent is responsible overseeing and managing all aspects of the District operations, including budgeting, planning, visitor services, law enforcement, facility maintenance, resource management, interpretation, real property management, concessions, and interagency and public relations. This position coordinates policy and decision making with various entities and interest groups. State housing is not available.
