Under general supervision, the Business Taxes Specialist I independently conducts the most difficult and complex audits, typically consisting of the largest industrial corporations; makes audit appointments; meets with taxpayers and their representatives; explains the audit findings; prepares appropriate audit reports, and performs other related duties as necessary. This position may be required to rotate into the audit review position.
Meeting the training requirements for this position may require overnight travel for up to five consecutive nights.
This position is designated as 'mobile worker' per Board of Equalization Telework Policy and Guidelines.

2) Describe your past sales and use tax audit experience as the lead auditor and/or as team member.
3) Describe your successes and challenges in expediting the completion of Sales and Use Tax audits of large companies.
