JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the supervision of the IT Service Transition Supervisor, in the Technical Operations Section, the incumbent assumes the roles of IT Release Management Process Owner and Enterprise IT Release Manager. As the Process Owner, the position establishes, enforces, manages and improves the organization’s IT Release Management strategy, policy, process, and standards. The IT Release Management process governs the IT Releases which coordinate the IT Changes to hardware, communications equipment, software, and all documentation and procedures associated with the running, support and maintenance of live systems. As the Release Manager, the position is responsible for collecting high-level release planning information, conducting the monthly Enterprise IT Release Management meeting and publishing the Enterprise IT Release Calendar.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
ITIL Foundation Certified.
Familiar with IT Service Management and ITIL concepts, including a Change Advisory Board (CAB).
Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models.
Experience managing IT Releases within tools such as Plutora Release Manager, IBM UrbanCode Release (uRelease), IBM Rational Clearcase/Clearquest, MS Sharepoint, MS Project, MS Excel, etc.
Ability to lead group discussions and meetings.
Ability to apply process concepts to working processes and procedures.
Familiar with System/Software Build and Test concepts.
Ability to work with management and/or peers to set or apply technical direction.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
