Job Description:
Under the general direction of a Business Taxes Administrator I (Tax Compliance Supervisor) out of West Sacramento, the incumbent will work independently and performs the more complex activities in the Truck Check Program at remote locations in the Southern California area. The position is headquartered at the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) in Blythe, CA. The position requires up to 75% travel to California Highway Patrol Inspection Facilities and California Agricultural Inspection Facilities in the Southern California area looking for interstate users of diesel fuel not in compliance with the Diesel Fuel Tax Law and the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). Incumbent acts as a lead to other compliance staff while coordinating group enforcements at remote locations and provides on-site guidance or training of staff. The incumbent will work closely with the Compliance Supervisor to develop and improve program elements. Limited Term position has the possibility of becoming permanent. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
