The reporting location for this position is Millerton Lake State Recreation Area located in Friant. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger). This is a dynamic State Park Peace Officer (Ranger) position with opportunities in all core programs. The incumbent will be responsible for diversified tasks such as interpretation, safety and enforcement, working with seasonal employees, day use and campground operations, cultural and natural resource management, volunteers, and special events. If you are a creative, energetic, and resourceful individual who is willing to take on a variety of challenges with a great team, this is the position for you. This position is pending Executive Personnel Review Committee approval. State housing is not available.
