The reporting location for this position is the San Mateo Coast Sector Office at Half Moon Bay State Beach. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger). The units include Thornton State Beach, Half Moon Bay State Beach, Pigeon Point Lighthouse, Bean Hollow State Beach, Gray Whale Cove State Beach, Montara State Beach, Pescardero State Beach, Pomponio State Beach and San Gregorio State Beach. This position will also assist with sector-wide coverage as required. Duties will include a full range of aquatics duties, visitor services activities, including proactive patrol of miles of scenic coastline. Opportunities also exist in the areas of interpretation and resource management. This position is pending Executive Personnel Review Committee approval. State housing may be available.
