The position is in San Jose, CA. Under the close supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator I, the Business Taxes Representative is responsible for working lower dollar closed out corporate collection accounts to determine if the corporate officers or responsible parties can be held liable, effecting collection, and for recommending for discharge those accounts that are not collectable. The incumbent, informs the supervisor of complex and/or sensitive issues on assigned cases. The accounts are worked from the office by telephone and mail using an inside collection program. Work is performed by use of a personal computer in accessing the individual’s caseload. Actions taken are initiated and recorded on the personal computer, as are the case notes. Meeting the training requirements for this position may require overnight travel for up to five consecutive nights. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. Interested candidates must meet educational requirements. More than one position may be available.
