DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Works for the Department of Developmental Services Headquarters (DDS)(stationed at Fairview Developmental Center); in coordination with the Clinical Record Administrator (CRA); assists with a wide variety of analytical clinical record and related duties; assists the Developmental Centers /State Operated Community Facility (SOCF) re: Medicare, MediCal documentation support , ’ guidance and coordinates with Client Financial Services; receives directions from the CRA and ICD-10 Project Team re: the action plans for the ICD-10 Contract/s ; coordinates the documentation template development to support ICD-10; works with each DC/SOCF to assist with the identification of documentation requirements coordinates the scheduling and training DC/SOCF training completion and participates in the training of ICD-10, manages the ICD-10 online training and coordinates the Onsite ICD-10 Training preparation; development of training tools presentation and follow up; communicates with and supports the Developmental Centers in coordination with the CRA; assists with the planning, revision and training plan for the statewide Client Diagnostic Evaluation Report to incorporate manual and automated system, assists with the review of changes; resource for International Classification of Disease and Current Procedural Terminology coding for clinical records documentation and billing purposes; assists with the updating of the guidelines for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA), serves as a backup for the AGPA Repository of Records re: purchase orders for the document management system and other Clinical Record related resources; for all the DCs/SOCF; serves as a back up for release of information
