Two positions may be filled. All eligible applicants will be considered. However, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. In addition to submitting a fully completed state application, applicants must also respond to the supplemental questions listed below:
• Describe a complex problem/issue in your current or past position that you had to deal with, and describe your thinking process as you resolved it.
In the ‘Explanations’ section of the STD 678, all applications must indicate the basis of their eligibility (e.g., SROA, Surplus, re-employment, Transfer, List Eligibility, etc.). Appointments may be subject to SROA/Surplus restrictions. SROA and Surplus applicants must submit a copy of their letter with their application. Failure to provide this information may result in automatic disqualification from the hiring process.
Applicants may mail or drop off the application. Mailed applications must be postmarked by the final filing date. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of the state application. Only those applicants who submit all required documents by the filing date will be considered for an interview. Applications will be screened and the most qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview. The STD 678 can be assessed through the CalHR website at https://jobs.ca.gov/Profile/StateApplication.
