This is a Permanent Intermittent position and may work at a maximum of 1500 hours per calendar year. The newly created Monitoring and Laboratory Division Administrative Section is seeking a person to assist the Associate Business Management Analyst and Materials Stores Specialist with the operation and management of the Division's Sacramento warehouse facilities. Duties include: Tracking and filing purchase and lease documents; ordering and inventory of instruments, equipment, parts, expendables, and compressed gas cylinders; shipping and receiving instrumentation, equipment, parts, and hazardous materials; maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records, carrier bills of lading, and courier shipping forms, and issuing and tracking ARB property.
The most competitive applicant should have the ability to work in a warehouse environment, operate heavy motorized vehicles (one-ton flatbed), and lift objects up to 50 pounds. Applicants should have a working knowledge of inventory tracking programs and computer experience, be able to work well with others, and have good customer service skills. Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations and UPS and FED Ex shipping procedures desirable.
