Title: TAX TECHNICIAN III, BOARD OF EQUALIZATION Salary: $2,951.00 - $3,696.00 Posted: 10/14/2013
The position is currently located in Van Nuys but will relocate to Glendale; relocation expenses will not be paid. Under general direction the TT III serves as the expert staff resource and performs the most difficult and complex technical compliance duties which include but are not limited to: explaining the nature of a delinquency to the taxpayer and obtains commitment to clear the delinquency. Recommends issuance of levies, earning withholding orders, warrants for collection and successor billing and approval of installment payment proposals. Training requirements for this position may include overnight travel for up to five consecutive nights. The incumbent will receive an additional $100.00 per month pay differential. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. More than one position may be available.

1. Describe your experience with skip-tracing and handling collection cases
2. Describe a time when you had to handle a large volume of work. How did you prioritize?
3. What is your experience with using the Automated Compliance Management System (ACMS)?
