The reporting location for this position is the District Office at Russian Gulch State Park. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Superintendent III. The State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger) serves as supervisor for Visitor Services in the South Area (coastal units Van Damme south to Schooner Gulch, inland units Hendy Woods, Montgomery Woods and Mailliard Redwoods). This position also acts as a district-wide shift supervisor, which will include nights and weekends, and completes special projects and other duties as assigned. This is a unique opportunity to direct visitor services at some of the Department’s most spectacular park units. State housing may be available.
