Job Description:
Under close supervision of the Supervising Tax Auditor II, the Business Taxes Representative (BTR) will learn all the phases of tax compliance, licensing, and law, rule, and regulation administration. The BTR will be responsible for contacting individuals and representatives of organizations either by telephone, written correspondence or in person, to secure information and to obtain compliance with the provisions of Special Tax laws administered by the Board of Equalization. The BTR, Range A and B, perform the less difficult tasks, while the BTR, Range C, performs the more difficult tasks. Interested candidates must meet educational requirements. The position is located in a high-rise building. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
