Title:  BUSINESS TAXES COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

Job Description:
Under the general direction of a Business Taxes Administrator I, the incumbent conducts business permit and license inspections and corroboration of accurate tax reporting under the Statewide Compliance and Outreach Program (SCOP). Incumbent also prepares investigation reports, conducts field observations, and assists in identifying underreporting. When reporting deficiencies are encountered, incumbent solicits amended tax returns, prepares estimated billings, and prepares audit leads. Incumbent must be able to accept money in the field, provide a receipt, and properly protect the money until it is transferred. Meeting the training requirements for this job may require overnight travel for one or more days. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. More than one position may be available.

This position may be considered for rotational duties within the same classification.
