Under the supervision of the District Permit Engineer, a Senior Transportation Engineer, the incumbent will be District 8's Filing Permit Coordinator. The incumbent will independently evaluate all permit packages to ensure completeness and assign accurate 'Permit Number' and 'Type' which requires analysis of plan set. The incumbent will provide analytical services to improve 'Encroachment Permit Tracking' database, collect or refund permit fees to customers, complete and close permit files at the end of permit processing, and compile report from the permit database and submit it to the supervisor regularly to help the Permit Office operate and process permits efficiently.
