The reporting location for this position is the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park located in Coloma. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Superintendent II. The Marshall Gold Office Technician provides administrative support to the Sector operation and works closely with District staff to ensure timeliness in the processing of all documents related to the functions of Accounting, Personnel and Special Events. Duties include posting of expenditures in the Department's Fiscal Tracking System and preparing personnel documents for District processing. The incumbent will also be responsible for the preparation and processing of the Report of Collections for deposits relative to concessions, seasonal housing rent, contingent fund donations and day use fees. This position also serves as the sector coordinator for all special event programs and will work with event promoters, financial sponsors and sector staff for pre-event planning. The incumbent provides pre-event tours of the Park grounds for potential promoters to ensure timely payment for services rendered. This position will also be responsible for the general reception duties such as, answering phones, filing and assisting the general public. The successful candidate should possess a strong skill set in verbal and written communication along with the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. Experience with various programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is highly desirable. State housing may be available.
