Job Description:

The reporting location for this position is the Sierra District Maintenance Shop located in Tahoma. This position will work under the direction of the District Maintenance Chief III. This position provides support to the facility maintenance, historic structure stabilization and restoration, trail, fire, natural resource maintenance, and road maintenance programs at 17 State Parks in the Sierra District. Work will include heavy manual labor, extensive walking to and from work sites, hot summer temperatures, cold winter temperatures, snow covered conditions, and high work altitudes. Remote work locations, camping, and overnight travel are expected. This position may work up to 1500 hours per year. There are two vacant positions available. State housing is not available.
