The reporting location for this position is Plumas-Eureka State Park. This position will work under the direction of the Supervising Rangers in the North Lake Sector. Plumas-Eureka State Park is a 5000 acre unit located in Plumas County about an hour North of Truckee. This is an opportunity for a generalist who has an interest in all areas of park operations. This position is responsible for the daily operation of the unit, providing for public safety, campground operations, cultural and natural resource management, ski trail grooming in the winter and being the CAL for an active cooperating association. This person will work closely with the local recreation district, operators of the historic Johnsville Ski Bowl, which is located in the park. This assignment requires the ability to work independently in a remote reporting location, often in harsh summer and winter environments, with minimal on site supervision. This position requires the ability to operate off-highway vehicles including a snow-mobile. State housing may be available.
