This position is in the Strategic Planning and Analysis unit within the Strategic Project Office. Under the direction of the DPM II, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing cost estimates for proposed system changes, high level analysis of technology impacts for proposed legislation, provide support for Disaster Recovery, and will cross train on other Strategic Project Office responsibilities. This position may serve as Project Manager or Project Lead for smaller projects with IT components, perform various analysis or research tasks, provide basic support services for projects, maintain project schedules in MS Project, facilitate meetings or JAD sessions, participate in risk analysis or perform Quality Management assessments. May develop and or maintain training or procedural documentation. Please state your eligibility for this classification in the Explanations section of your application. Core knowledge: Information Technology concepts; Basics of Operating Systems; Principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design and manage requirements; Principles and methods of acquisition analysis; data standards; Resource strategy and planning; Risk/issue management; Business process reengineering; System Development Life Cycle; Quality Management; procedures to develop technical and support documentation.
Abilities: develop an understanding of business processes and practices; provide customer service; sound decision making; mange change; good oral and written communication; Analytical thinking; problem solving; Sound reasoning to reach accurate conclusions; Flexible - open to change and new information.
Experience with MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Visio desired.
