Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Personnel Supervisor I, responsible for processing personnel documentation and transactions. Processing Personnel Action Requests (PAR) for separations, appointments, miscellaneous changes, promotions, Employee Action Requests for name, address, or miscellaneous withholding allowance changes, benefits enrollment processing including health, dental, life, vision, long term disability, Direct Pay, or COBRA, salary determinations, handles all miscellaneous deduction enrollments for spousal support, deferred compensation, and direct deposit, and process all PAR documentation for SISA/MSA approvals or denials, license renewals, range changes and IWSP. Payroll duties including processing all payroll, certifying attendance, releasing warrants, requests for revolving fund checks, verifying and processing intermittent payroll, researching and resolving payroll discrepancies, certifying supplemental pay, processing garnishments, payroll docks, catastrophic time bank donations, non-industrial and state disability and out- of classification pay. Maintenance of all employee records including leave balances, expiration dates, actual time worked, Intermittent hours, MSA/SISA’s and all performance appraisal reports. Audits 998A/timesheets and maintains a LAS timesheet review tool for each employee on roster. Monthly key data input into the CLAS. Maintains SDI, NDI, Military and FMLA files, ensuring benefits are applied correctly. Determines appropriate account codes for retirement. Inputs information into the statewide BIS database; validate SCO transactions in the BIS database, daily. Report processing for information related to overtime, shift, holiday pay, physical fitness, outstanding revolving fund listing, sick leave, medical license renewal, delinquent IDP/PROBS, current IDP/PROBS. and year end accruals. Check State service records for Longevity pay, vacation earning and employment/unemployment verification. Assist in the development of internal procedures by providing technical input into the process. Maintain Official Personnel Files for employee’s on roster. Assist employees with questions regarding benefits, pay and time worked; in person, via telephone and/or e-mail. Processes outstanding accounts receivables and updates the Aging Report in BIS. Attend meetings and conference calls as required. Other duties as assigned.
