The Landscape Architects Technical Committee (LATC) is conveniently located in Natomas near many popular restaurants and shopping centers, and offers FREE PARKING.

The LATC is a small team oriented group of 5, responsible for the examination, licensure, and enforcement programs in which regulate the practice of landscape architecture in a manner which protects the public health, safety, and welfare and safeguards the environment.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, exciting team environment then the LATC is the place for you! The Retired Annuitant/Staff Services Analyst position is located within LATC's Examination Unit.

Under supervision of the Program Manager, the Retired Annuitant/Examination Coordinator plans, organizes and performs a variety of analystical and technical tasks associateed with the California landscape architects examination. The Retired Annuitant/Examination Coordinator is responsible for the functions related to the examinatio program duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Evaluates candidate eligiblity, responds to complex correspondence, email, and telephone inquiries. Prepares written announcements and updates related to the exam for the LATC website and other documents.

Acts as liaison with the national testing vendor. Coordinates scheduling of exam sections. Serves as the liaison with other state regulatory boards in matters where their licensees seek reciprocity. Administers the process of redeveloping the Clafornia SSupplemental Examination (CSE). Implements resulting changes to the CSE as needed. Works with contracted psychometrics services and Office of Professional Exam Services to resolve any technical and security issues.

Interprets and evaluates statues and regulations; analyzes proposed statutory and regulatory changes for LATC and Board review; provides input for rulemaking fies and the development of legislative language; drafts regulation packages; represents the LATC at regulatory hearings; responds to all comments and questions, and serves as the contact person for the public, the Department, and the Office of Administrative Law.

Prepares statistical reports and performs program analysis on exam related issues; prepares special reports and analysis on exam requirements and presents findings to the LATC.

Coordinates outreach activities thoughout the year including the update of the PowerPoint presentation. Develops and updates written material on an annual basis to guide candidates through the exam process.

Prepares budget documents, monitors exam related costs, and analyzes data to adjust examination fee schedules in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Travel may be required to attend LATC and Board meetings.
