Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general supervision of the Data Processing Manager I and the technical direction from the Sr. ISA Lead and the Staff ISA Subject Matter Expert (SME), the incumbent’s responsibilities include performing analytical work in the support of FTB’s daily batch processing activities and other Data Guidance workloads. The incumbent acts as a resource for batch processing and requests and incidents related to programming, scheduling, computer resource, and performance issues. The incumbent is also a technical resource for issues related to identifying, defining and developing solutions for production processing problems. The incumbent will work closely with shift managers, team lead, and SME to ensure the department’s daily batch processes runs efficiently as well as ensure incidents and requests are addressed in a timely manner using standard processes and procedures. The incumbent also provides effective communication of shift events during shift turnover. Shift to be determined.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Knowledge and experience with JCL.
  • Knowledge and experience working with IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
  • Knowledge and experience with batch processing in a Z\OS mainframe and UNIX environments.
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows, UNIX and Linux server environments.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting Z/OS mainframe environments.
  • Experience with incident resolution and request fulifillment using automate ticketing systems.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with multple priorties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management via e-mail, phone and in person.
  • ITIL Certfication.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independetly or as part of a team.
  • Availability to work a non-traditional work week (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
