The Board of Equalization (BOE) Acquisitions Branch is looking for a highly experienced Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic team. This is a fast-paced, exciting office that supports a key revenue-generating agency with Constitutional authority. Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Procurement Analyst independently performs the more difficult, responsible, and complex technical and analytical work related to the State’s procurement process for the acquisition of Information Technology (IT) Goods and Services and Non-IT goods. The Procurement Analyst coordinates all phases of procurement and acts as a liaison with internal customers and external control agencies related to State procurements as well as socioeconomic and environmental programs. The analyst may be called upon to train less experienced staff and act on behalf of the manager in their absence. The position is located in a high rise building. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/surplus will be given priority.
A team player dedicated to providing strong customer service is essential. Procurement experience is required and familiarity with the State’s CalCard program and FI$Cal is a plus. Interested applicants must have strong organizational and interpersonal abilities and be able to coordinate multiple projects. This limited term position may become permanent if funding is approved and/or workload is permanently established.
