The reporting location for this position is the Clear Lake State Park Office in Kelseyville. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger). This position will be responsible for the daily routine of the Visitor Services activities within the Clear Lake Sector. Clear Lake State Park is located 3.5 miles northeast of Kelseyville. The park has four separate family campgrounds for a total of 146 campsites, two 40 person group camps, several miles of hiking trails, visitor center, boat launch for day use and campers, and eight concessionaire-operated cabins. Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Highway 53 between Lower Lake and Clearlake in Lake County. This unit contains archeological sites of the Southeastern Pomo that are at least 10,000 years old as well as a 19th Century Ranch House and Barn complex. There is also a nature preserve that covers hundreds of acres of wildlife habitat. Duties will include: public safety and law enforcement, campground operations and Visitor Services activities, interpretation and resource management. State housing is not available.
