Job Description:
This position is located in Norwalk. Under the direction of a Business Taxes Administrator I, the Tax Compliance Specialist independently performs the more complex and difficult tax compliance and collection work and is responsible for the part of the Compliance Program that includes collecting board assessed liability on closed out accounts. The incumbent, while working autonomously, informs the supervisor of complex and/or sensitive issues on assigned cases and acts as an expert resource to journey level staff and provides administrative support to management and supervision. Candidate must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. More than one position may become available. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
