Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager II, (Supervisor), the incumbent performs a variety of less complex tasks including performing various legal secretarial duties in support of the Appeals Division. Prepares and processes final correspondence and other legal documents, including: letters, responses to taxpayers, tax practitioners and businesspersons; decisions and recommendations, pleadings and other legal documents. Tracks appeal assignment due dates and conducts follow up to ensure due dates are met; prepares memos and responds to routine correspondence; and reviews and routes incoming and outgoing mail. The position is located in a high-rise building. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
