Duties: This position includes
operating radio and telephone equipment. Dispatching appropriate officers
and resources to incidents. Answering incoming telephone calls from the public,
allied agencies, officers and the media.
Desirable Qualifications: Must be able
to maintain a good rapport with employees, peers, supervisors, allied agencies
and the public. Reporting to work on time with a minimum of
absences. Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays. A
positive attitude. Ability to take independent action.
Confidentiality is essential in the position. This classification
requires a net typing speed of 40 words per minute.

currently in the PSD classification who are eligible to transfer, should submit
