Under the direction of the Administrator of the Compliance Branch, the Office Technician (Typing) is responsible for general administrative office functions and performs the most advanced clerical duties in the Compliance Branch. This position has many varied duties, which requires a high degree of initiative, independence and originality in order to complete tasks with a minimum of supervision or specific direction. The Office Technician (Typing) must have a thorough knowledge of the workflow, procedures, policies and objectives for the Special Tax and Fee programs in order to: direct taxpayers to appropriate parties, resolve minor questions, file internal documents, compile information, create and prepare short memorandums and correspondence, and review and edit correspondence for the staff. The position is located in a high-rise building. A LEAP Certification List will be utilized. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
