Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, Space and Telecommunications Planning Section, the Associate Business Management Analyst provides independent staff, analytical and office space planning, lease management and AutoCAD design support for BOE relocation/expansion projects. Completes space alteration requests and special project assignments in leased and State owned facilities. Performs costs analysis and develops budget documentation and recommendations using a variety of funding sources. Designs and requisitions furniture systems. Serves as a liaison with the Office of State Architect (OSA), Real Estate Services Division (RESD), and Building and Property Management (BPM). Performs project management tasks on complex construction and tenant improvement projects and works directly with lessors and construction contractors. The position is located in a high-rise building. Travel required 10% of the time. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/surplus will be given priority.
The incumbent must have strong organizational and interpersonal abilities in addition to being a team player dedicated to providing strong customer service while coordinating multiple projects.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the STD. 678 not more than a two-page typed response to the following questions must be submitted with your application.
1. Describe your experience working on tenant improvement projects and working with contractors in various construction trade disciplines.
2. Describe your project management experience on complex projects.
3. Describe your experience using AutoCAD for space planning design.
