Under general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator (BTA) III, the BTA II is responsible for the administration of the Compliance Program and Statewide Compliance Outreach Program (SCOP) in the Irvine District Office. The BTA II plans, organizes and directs these programs through subordinate supervisors. The BTA II is responsible for various audit, compliance and administrative functions in the district including: SCOP field auditing, reception, interviewing and registration of taxpayers, cashiering, account maintenance, advisory service, collection of unpaid taxes, and other administrative activities relative to enforcing applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. The incumbent also fosters cooperation and integrates functions between audit and compliance staff. The incumbent must be able to travel overnight up to 25% of the time. Candidate must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Meeting the training requirements for this position may require overnight travel for up to five consecutive nights. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
