The reporting location for this position is the Tijuana Estuary Maintenance Shop. This position is assigned to Border Field State Park and Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve. The position may be rotational among Park Maintenance Worker I’s of South Sector Units including Silver Strand State Beach for operational needs. Responsibilities include facility maintenance and housekeeping at different units as assigned. The position offers a full range of opportunities for using skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, vehicle and equipment operations, trails and road repairs, etc. Desirable traits are positive attitude, strong leadership ability, safety conscious and ability to work as a team member. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate leadership working with Volunteer Groups, Community Work Release Program, CCC, CDF, Inmate Rehab Program, etc. The incumbent’s work schedule will be Sunday to Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. State housing is not available.
