Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Data Processing Manager II, the Associate Information Systems Analyst will provide support on the scheduling and implementation of the Release Migration Change Process. The incumbent is responsible for the tracking, coordination, and communication of hardware, software, and network installations in addition to promotions of Natural objects and non-Natural objects, such as COBOL source code and Unix scripts to the release/production environment. Works in a lead capacity in Special Projects and facilitates meetings. Manages and controls the change control procedures within a Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS) environment, by performing a variety of duties. Assists on migration of programs, data elements, and other components from staging environments to release/production using various Information Technology (IT) tools (i.e. PAC, TSO, CLISTS and Unix). Is responsible for developing, implementing and enforcing the units change management standards and procedures. Ensures quality control measures are in place and met. This includes tracking the progress of a new sub-system or modification to a sub-system; reviewing the Request for Production forms to determine placement within the various sub-system job flowcharts; monitoring of all phases, of the job, for job step condition codes. Provides a specific audit trail supporting all production change activity and the generation of reports detailing the origin of this activity. Acquires knowledge and keeps abreast of the business operations and technology operations Board wide.
