The reporting location for this position is McConnell State Recreation Area in Ballico. This position works at McConnell State Recreation Area, George J. Hatfield State Recreation Area, and Great Valley Grasslands State Park. The Park Maintenance Worker I performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair of park systems and facilities. The incumbent may act as a lead person for other staff and work crews. This position performs semi-skilled and manual labor to maintain and repair buildings, structures, campsites, picnic facilities, roads, parking areas, trails, fixtures, water and sewer systems and irrigation systems. This position performs carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry and electrical work on facilities, installs signs and fences, repairs roads, lays asphalt and clears culverts. Power and hand tools are used in the accomplishment of the work. The incumbent’s work schedule will be Friday to Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. State housing may be available.
